Executive Master in Investigative Journalism

The Executive Master in Investigative Journalism is tailored for professionals who aim to accelerate their careers in the field of investigative journalism.

We offer practice-oriented courses and the possibility to study one or more subjects.

The list of courses offered in the spring semester:

 

· UJO 662 Advanced Research

· UJO 665 Python Programming for Journalists

· UJO 661 Investigative reporting management

 

We still have a few available places.

Each course is worth 10 credit points. Six courses totalling 60 ECTS, gives one the right to write a master thesis worth 30 credits points. An executive master’s degree in investigative journalism is equivalent to 90 ECTS. (OR: The completion of six courses and a master thesis would amount to an Executive Master’s degree in Investigative Journalism).

 

Admission requirements:

· Number of credit points equivalent to a bachelor’s degree. No requirements regarding field of study

· Two years of editorial experience

The price per course is between NOK 30.000 – 40.000, and does not cover travel, accommodations, and educational materials expenses. One may qualify for STUP scholarship. The maximum grant amount for part-time studies is NOK 100.000.
